We are so excited to be posting our "first post". It's all about staging your home to help it sell faster! Little things make a difference. Cleaning, de-cluttering and furniture placement are all inexpensive things you can do to make a great first impression.
Curb appeal. You've heard the words, and here is an image of what it means. Does the entrance to this home seem "appealing"? Get out the shovel and make some changes!
Now you are able to see some of the architectural interest of the house, the brick and beautiful red door. This is a good example of less is more. (And it doesn't look like someone might pop out of the bush and scare you.)
When showing your house it has to be clean, uncluttered and leave a great impression. Minimize furniture so they can see the room and it's positive qualities.
Now your eyes are drawn to the interesting stone wall . . . not the clutter.
Before staging . . . the first thing you saw from the doorway was the bed. Furniture placement is so important when showing your house.
Looking toward the door. Notice you can't really see much of the floor. It looks cramped.
Now, this looks like a good size room. You can see the floor!
Notice the hooks and most of the pictures were taken off the wall. It makes the room look bigger. You want potential buyers to look at the floor plan, not the cute pictures and artwork. Simply by using a little elbow grease, de-cluttering, moving furniture and removing artwork will start you on your way to staging your home.
If you live in the metro Tulsa area we would be happy to stage your home for you and "create a space that sells".
