We are two sister's that want to help people market their homes by "creating spaces that sell." That's where home staging comes into play. The way you live in your home and the way you market and sale your house are two different things. Staging is all about depersonalizing your home. By keeping furnishings and decor to a minimum, staging allows potential buyers to mentally picture themselves in the house and imagine it as their home.

Home Office Earthquake!

Do you feel like the epicenter of yesterday's earthquake was in your home office? Or possibly a twister ripped it's way through?

We're headed out this morning to complete a home office organization project. Talk about breathing new life into a space! The home owner is so excited and committed to keeping the office free of mounds of paper,  putting everything in its place, shredding and recycling.

If you need help with your office earthquake let us know.

PAPER TRAIL

Today we're heading out to help a client with their home office. Make that two home offices. They have been busy with their homework from two weeks ago . . . getting rid of the paper trail! Sound familiar? If so, it’s time for a paper trail roundup this weekend! Start by sorting your paper into three sections: Keep (personal and business), Recycle Bin, and Shred. Focus on one drawer at a time. Before you know it you will have removed a good portion of your paper trail.

Saddle up and move ‘em out!

SOLD!

One of the homes we staged just sold in a matter of 6 weeks! Another is sale pending at 5 weeks after staging!

BEFORE STAGING

AFTER STAGING

Staging is more about de-cluttering and keeping decor to a minimum. Notice how the room opens up by removing a few pieces of furniture . . . it creates a flow and the potential buyers are able to see the floor plan as well as imagining their "things" in the home.

BEFORE STAGING
AFTER . . . adding a simple shelf, painted the same color as the wall, created the feeling of space as well as storage in the small bathroom.
BEFORE STAGING

AFTER STAGING: The counters are cleared (they did have some projects going on) and only a few items are on the counter. Cabinets were cleared of most dishes. Tables are set to create an inviting atmosphere.

CONGRATULATIONS to the sellers!
If you know of anyone wanting to sell their home in a timely manner, please give them our names! Suzy and Lori from Two Sister's Home Staging and Interior reDesign - twosistershomestaging@gmail.com

Home Staging Tips

We are so excited to be posting our "first post". It's all about staging your home to help it sell   faster! Little things make a difference. Cleaning, de-cluttering and furniture placement are all inexpensive things you can do to make a great first impression.

Curb appeal. You've heard the words, and here is an image of what it means. Does the entrance to this home seem "appealing"?
Get out the shovel and make some changes!
Now you are able to see some of the architectural interest of the house, the brick and beautiful red door. This is a good example of less is more. (And it doesn't look like someone might pop out of the bush and scare you.)

When showing your house it has to be clean, uncluttered and leave a great impression. Minimize furniture so they can see the room and it's positive qualities.

Now your eyes are drawn to the interesting stone wall . . . not the clutter.

Before staging . . . the first thing you saw from the doorway was the bed. Furniture placement is so important when showing your house.

Looking toward the door. Notice you can't really see much of the floor. It looks cramped.
Now, this looks like a good size room. You can see the floor!

Notice the hooks and most of the pictures were taken off the wall. It makes the room look bigger. You want potential buyers to look at the floor plan, not the cute pictures and artwork.
Simply by using a little elbow grease, de-cluttering, moving furniture and removing artwork will start you on your way to staging your home.
If you live in the metro Tulsa area we would be happy to stage your home for you and "create a space that sells".
